    Default Snail wears a bandana

The snail wears a bandana. I just thought that was interesting. Then at the end on page 101 the snail still has the bandana on but its mate doesn't have one. The bandana is even drawn in on the silhouette pictures on pages 34 and 103. Just thought it was funny - why make a snail where a bandana??

The bandana always kinda reminded me of Nathan Lane's character from The Birdcage.

(Not that there's anything wrong with that....)

What I thought was odd was that the snail in the "flip-book" had on a bandana, making it the survivor snail, instead of the running crystalized snail which seems to be the common theory.

Ahhh - he is French! Then we should be referring to him not as Snail, but as Escargot, no?
