    Default Well... Library... Idle

Has anyone found puzzles on the website which give out these words? Various solved puzzle parts all slot together and tell a tale about Eratosthenes (who is also mentioned in the book) - but there are a couple of obvious gaps for these two words. Also there are some complicated gaps for longer phrases - which might come from the JackDiamond grid or the greek grid.

Also can anyone connect Eratosthenes with the word IDLE he seems like anything but.

    Thanks

Am I to assume, by the title of this thread, that you are looking for the words "well" and "library"? I was/am.

    Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

aha, thanks, BRUNNEN is German for WELL
I thought i could use NORD as NORTH too, but SYENE is south of Alexandria.

Other words to look out for might be MULTIPLIED, EGYPT, ANGLE, SOLSTICE, 5000 STADIA.

Does everyone have the runes as:

    COMMENCE AT APPOLOS RESPLENDENT APOGEE?

I can't quite fit that into the rest of the Eratosthenes story, in the book it refers to the solstice, but the tense isn't right. Perhaps I have the first word wrong?

But Alexandria is NORTH of Syene. It all depends on the rest of the text.

    Default Apollo

A thought crossed my mind, could it be refering to Apollo as in 11. That would be 186 kilometers from earth, at least that is what the NASA site had.

I am fairly certain you won't find it, and that it is original. The author would not let it be that easy. For instance, look at the Greek grid. There is no way you could search for some of those symbols, since there are no ASCII representations of them, and the ones that you can, are so common as to be meaningless in a search.

Also, from the point of view that the URL of the hidden diamond is probably encoded in the essay, makes it highly unlikely you will find it anywhere on the web.
