I guess not many of you took the time to read thru that post.. I am pretty sure it was an attempt at a joke...though its kinda cruel because some people might actually start doing all those steps before they realize it a joke...

Just a meek question from someone who had to quit working on Torment (for a while) before the blocks (due to work). I was thinking about actual blocks and the effect of orientation. It wouldn't affect what you see from the back. But it would affect what you see from the top. Has anyone considered what this would say if you looked down on the top of the stack?

Of course, if it was photoshopped from sluggy's image, then gg might not know the answer to that either.

    retreating,

/\/\ Lizz, I haven't tried personally but I saw an exchange btw (unfiction) elvedon and uber33k on that topic which didn't provide a great deal of hope.

For anyone interested, I have gone looking for space characters in the blocks on the assumption that, firstly there are spaces to be found, secondly that we are limited to a candidate group of (up to) 4 characters identically oriented, and thirdly that the rabbits act as rotators.

On the expectation that we would see a space about every 7th block on average (is that right?) then I keep coming up short on frequency if limited to a group of 4 letters (I mean no candidate group has jumped out at me). Maybe I've just had bad luck in the selection of rabbit orientations for my search, though I have searched in both forwards and backwards directions.

Mind you, I am so accustomed to failure now that I am not in the least perturbed.

Oh, and I can't even bear to think about the possibility that the rabbits act as ROT operators in an orientation dependent puzzle...

    I did. (Get it--as a joke).

I wavered between being p'ed that it was a joke and amazed at the invention.

    Still, the torment continues.

That is definitely the source image for the three block pictures that we can examine in full, and appears to be the source for the two small images that can only be viewed as thumbnails at geocaching. The color has been tweaked but everything else matches down to the wood grain.

    No, come back! Don't retreat!

(Maybe gg is sitting around in his cave pushing around sets of these things to make messages; then he lets us see a photoshopped version.)

(As for the wood grain, you know I go a little OCD on some of these things; I used the grain to determine the orientation of the H, I, and O blocks.)

/\/\ hehe I think OCD might be fairly common on puzzle sites

Not sure of the relevance but anyway:
