Mimi, it looks like spiral ticker to me. What that means we'll have to figure out.
    Viral spine...spiral vine
    Toil kicker...koil ticker...
    Spiral ticker
I got 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15, from the # of letters on each line.
Do I know what this means? NO. Does it pertain? WHO KNOWS!
I've tried odd #'s, every 4th letter, and others. I'm stumped but still working.

If you look at the names of the images, you will see that the first one is the clue for viral and spine and the second one the clue for toil and kicker.

The way I see it, what it is telling us, is that we have to write the coded text in a vertical strip (by the second part of clue 4) and then wrap it around something like in the image in clue 4.1. If we find the right something to wrap the text around we should be able to read something which is probably the key or a definition of the key.

Although I could be wrong, because I have been trying this method without getting nowhere.

Some ideas that I've been playing with, but I'm not getting anywhere. Anyone got a better idea?

    Code:
    .	.	.	V	.	.	.
    .	.	O	I	I	.	.
    .	T	R	.	L	R	.
    E	E	.	.	.	K	A
    .	N	K	.	I	L	.
    .	.	I	C	S	.	.
    .	.	.	P	.	.	.
    Code:
    C	I	K	L	I
    K	L	A	R	O
    E	S	V	I	T
    R	P	I	N	E
    Code:
    V	I	R	A
    L	K	I	L
    I	R	C	S
    O	E	K	P
    T	E	N	I
    Code:
    V	I	R	A	L
    L	K	I	C	S
    I	R	E	K	P
    O	T	E	N	I
    Code:
    I	C	K	E	R
    K	A	L	S	P
    L	R	I	V	I
    I	O	T	E	N
    Code:
    .	.	I	.	.	.
    	K	P	C	.	.
    L	S	I	I	K	.
    I	L	V	R	N	E
    .	O	A	E	R	.
    .	.	T	.	.	.
I caught you a delicious bass.

Just thinking kind of out loud here:

    DID YOU FIND THE KEYS?
Did I find the keys? Sure. I found some keys. Viral. Spine. Toil. Kicker. Those sound like keys to me.

    But keys to what?

Find the "keys" and answer the riddle and you should know the keyword. The solution is a single word.
Apparently the keys answer a riddle. Maybe the keys work with the answer to the riddle and give us the keyword.

So what's the riddle? All that seems to be left is:
IF YOU TOIL LONG, AN EASIER TALE YOU MUST FIND.
Is that a riddle? Is it riddly enough to be a riddle? I don't know. I suppose finding the easier tale would tell us where to go.

So what did Rusty tell us next?

(because it's killing me to see you moving around the answer and not finding it)
He as much as confirmed that this was the clue this morning in his reply to mimi.

So we move around the answer? Huh? Where's the riddle fit into that?

Then we got another cryptic remark:

I don't know about Moscow, but I am trying to make you dizzy.
I'm not trying to make anyone dizzy, but apparently Rusty is. Again with the around and around and around.

Then apparently Rusty feels sorry for us... possibly because we are so dizzy:
I suggest everybody go back and read the original puzzle and the decrypt. Then figure out the answer to the riddle. I have given keys to the puzzle and have hinted about where they are. Everything I have said should be taken in context of the original puzzle.

Go back, read it again. What did it mean?
Ok, I've done that. Still no idea what it meant. Then after the picture of a snake, (which Rusty comments is a much better clue than clue 2), we get something that sounds awfully cryptic, very much like a clue.

Maybe the word you are looking for is unknown to you?
It's still unknown to me. That's for certain. Kind of like the Secret Word of Secret Word Bar fame...

Then we get pictures of what is definitely a SPIRAL VINE and what could be construed as a KOIL TICKER.

I'm no closer. I know the keys, I don't know the riddle. I know I'm supposed to spin. I don't know what. I have no idea what the snake has to do with anything. I can see the sense of a spiral vine, but not of a koil ticker.

Does my diatribe spark any thoughts for someone else?
I caught you a delicious bass.
