1. I was thinking about transposition at the beginning too, but according to the first clue, things are not always what the seem, so maybe not only morse is not morse, but also the frequencies are a distraction.

2. Sirens is not correct.

3. Second clue coming at you today.

I don't know to what degree I've stumped you, so it'll take a few minutes to come up with a clue that won't give away the answer in mere seconds.

4. I skipped right past the clues and went after the transposition cipher. I have ruled out (in my mind) a simple columnar transposition. I wrote some software that helped me crank through 400 or so different simple transpositions. The solution might involve reordering of the columns as a first step. The original ciphertext was in a nice rectangular grid after all.

That nice rectangular grid is 17x9, since 17 is a prime number, that reduces a lot the possibilities of transposition to give a new rectangular grid: 3x51, 51x3 and 9x17. I tried all 3, unless I am missing something, a single transposition yields nothing legible.

6. I've been prompted to post. What about a hill cipher?

What about map coordinates for our numbers?

8. Hmm... goofed up the above. Was supposed to be highlighted thusly:

9. I'm not getting anywhere with those coordinates. I ended up somewhere off of Cato Court.

Nearest point of interest that I could find:
Quantico M C B Main Gate
Coordinates: 38°32'42"N 77°20'7"W

Anyone else have anything?

Or should I just keep doing this?

10. The clue may be 'triangle'. Now to apply that to the ciphertext...
